Who are we?

Learning to safely use and operate gas equipment began in 1975 while at Frankston Technical College.

In 1977 a four year apprenticeship as a boilermaker at RV Dorman Engineering in Mordialloc had begun at arguably one of the best engineering companies in the district. 

After a number of years working as a tradesman on numerous different projects, I knew a change was needed. Using knowledge and skills from my time on the tools as a Boilermaker, a career change into industrial sales selling specialized welding products began.

During the next thirty years of industrial sales a great deal of experience and knowledge was gained on everything from metal spraying, laser cutting, different welding applications, heat treatment and many other applications and aspects of industry.

Eight of those years were spent as a technical specialist for one of the then largest industrial gas companies in the world where I learned an enormous amount of technical information about gases, how they’re made, stored, handled and used.

Many everyday, but sometimes very different, gas and equipment applications were encountered over those years, adding a wealth of experience.

Finally in 2002 the job that would last for 15 years and bring all of my experience and knowledge together began, Victorian Sales Manager for one of the largest 100% Australian owned industrial gas equipment wholesalers.

During this time an appreciation for the technical complexities of gases and equipment really took hold.

Identifying a need for professional technical expertise with gases and gas equipment in the market place, plans to make Oxyset Services a reality really began.

Now after so many years in the industry it is time to write the next chapter to this story.
