One of the major causes of backfire and flashback is incorrect gas pressures, the overwhelming majority of gas equipment operators do not know the correct gas pressures to run for the different tips and nozzles that they use, this can be very dangerous. 

Did you know that you cannot safely use any Oxygen/Acetylene heating torch on any single cylinder of Acetylene?

You will exceed the withdrawal rate from the cylinder, drawing acetone out of the cylinder leaving it very unstable, this could cause a decomposition within the Acetylene cylinder with the potential for a fire or explosion.

To ensure our customers understand the correct pressure and flow for each tip and nozzle we have produced a card showing the technical details for each of the common types of tip and nozzles, these are available upon request for Oxyset Services customers.
