pictures gallery This page is A COLLECTION OF SOME OF THE THINGS I HAVE COME ACROSS OVER THE YEARS Argon cylinder with a hole through the side Acetylene cylinder after a fire Oxygen cylinder with molten metal on it after fire Molten metal on fire damaged oxygen cylinder Alluminium cyinder after building fire melted it Mixer and heating barrel after flashback 48×15 oxygen/LPG heating tip SHA2 oxygen/acetylene heating tip & HTL4 oxygen/LPG heating tip No flashback arrestors fitted to oxygen or fuel gas line Perished and damaged hoses Flow gauge regulator used to supply a pipeline, should be a pressure regulator Y piece on an argon flow gauge regulator will not supply enough gas for two welders Hose on flow gauge regulator perished No flashback arrestors fitted Welding machines should not be stored in a fuel gas storage area Manual manifold system for oxygen to AS 4289 Manual supply system for argon How an acetylene manifold system should be Both cylinders should be either Working or as Reserve Old Monitor type oxygen regulator cannot be used on modern oxygen cylinders Regulator should have safety relief valve vented to the outside of the building. No Co2 monitoring Nice installation but safety relief valve on regulator must be vented to outside of the building and no Co2 leak detection monitor No flashback arrestors at torch end Acetylene regulator incorrectly used with LPG. No flashback arrestors on fuel gas or oxygen regulators No torch end flashback arrestors Plumbers tape used on oxygen lines. How not to connect Oxygen to a reticulated pipeline This lead was designed for inert gases such as argon and nitrogen it was used incorrectly with oxygen causing a complete and utter failure of the lead following an explosion within the lead. The inside of the lead is clearly visible as is the inner and outer holes. Only use high pressure leads with the gas service for which it was designed. This inert lead was used for oxygen resulting in an explosion and fire within the lead.
