Industrial Gas equipment

We only choose the Industrial Gas Equipment

We take the guess work out of choosing which gas equipment actually meets the relevant standards, and which doesn't!

With all of the complexities of the different standards it is very difficult for the average person to know which gas equipment is actually safe to use and which is potentially dangerous.

The market is flooded with cheap imported products, some of which have a standard on them indicating that they meet a particular standard, yet they have undergone no testing.

With our knowledge of the gas equipment manufacturers, importers, suppliers, products, and the standards they are required to meet, we know what to look for, and understand the information we require to determine if a product actually meets the relevant standards.

That is why Oxyset Services will never knowingly sell a product that does not meet the relevant International or Australian Standard, or best accepted safe work practice.

With such a diverse range of gas equipment to choose from, we can supply a range of quality products to suit both the budget conscious, as well as those looking for premium products, and always at competitive pricing.

Our basic range of industrial gas equipment

Sparki is a new hands free ignitor for quickly and safely lighting your torch or burner.

There is a choice of a 30mm or 50mm magnetic base to fit in your pocket or stick to the bench or job, as well as a 100mm nonmagnetic steel base to weld to a bench.

Attach it close to where you are working so you don’t have to waste valuable time looking for a conventional flint lighter.

  • Flashback arrestors must be fitted to both oxygen and fuel gas lines at regulator and torch end of all oxysets.
  • The two best brands of flashback arrestors currently available in Australia/World are Ibeda and Cigweld (Witt).
  • We such a huge range available, we have the right flashback arrestor for just about any application
  • All of the flashback arrestors that we sell, fully meet the applicable Australian and International standards.
  • All Ibeda and Cigweld (Witt) branded products are approved for annual testing on our flashback arrestor testing machine.
  • We have the complete range of Ibeda quick-action couplers for inert gases as well as oxygen and fuel gases with and without flashback arrestors.
  • Quick-action couplers are available for both regulator and torch end.
  • We can offer single stage, and dual stage regulators in both bottom and side entry with various outlet pressures.
  • With such a large range of regulators available to us, we can supply regulators for most common industrial gas applications, as well as for new and interesting applications.
  • For welding applications we have an extensive range of set pressure and flow gauge regulators in numerous configurations in both bottom and side entry.
  • We can supply regulators for most applications including Laser, Plasma, Profile cutting, HVAC as well as for a multitude of other applications.
  • We have flow meters for set pressure regulators in 0-25 l/m and 0-40 l/m.
  • Flow restrictors are used with set pressure regulators and give a fixed flow rate eliminating the ability of the welders to adjust the flow.
  • They are available in 8 l/m, 15 l/m, 20 l/m.

We have standard 5mm id hose for Acetylene/Oxygen and LPG/Oxygen in 5m, 10m, 15m and 20m lengths, including 100m bulk rolls if required.

For high flow applications we have 10mm id twin hose in 10m and 15m lengths.

For single hose we have 3m lengths with fittings for inert welding gases as well as 50m bulk rolls.

Tesuco, Cigweld, Harris, and Weldtronic branded industrial gas products are available depending on your preference, so you have lots to choose from.

We have blowpipes, cutting attachments, mixers, heating barrels, cutting, welding, gouging, brazing and heating tips and nozzles.

We have one piece cutting torches in 600mm, 1,000mm and 2,000mm lengths for both LPG/Oxygen and Acetylene/Oxygen.

Kits are often the best option if your old set is no longer serviceable as they give you everything you need to safely use your oxyset.

They comprise of regulators, hoses, full set of four flashback arrestors, blowpipe, cutting attachment, welding or brazing tips, cutting tips, flint lighter, tip cleaners.

There are kits available for both Acetylene/Oxygen & LPG/Oxygen from Tesuco, Cigweld, Harris and Weldtronic.

We have a wide selection of roller guides, radius bars, flint lighters, spare flints, hose connections, fittings, “O” rings, etc.

There is an extensive range of LPG/Air equipment available, a multitude of different burners, neck tubes, hoses, and many other componenets.

All gas equipment should be leak tested on a regular basis to ensure there are no potentially dangerous or costly leaks.

The use of soapy water solutions with some gases such as oxygen could lead to a fire or explosion as the soapy solution may contain hydrocarbons.

For that reason it is vitally important that the leak detection fluid you use is safe for use with industrial and scientific gases and gas equipment.

Gas Control is an advanced gas leak detection spray, specifically designed to find gas leaks in any type of gas equipment.

It contains a special formulation to inhibit corrosion when used on copper, brass and steel.

When applied the slightest leak will produce foam and bubbles indicating if the equipment is gas tight, even showing minute leaks that will not normally show up with soapy water solutions, especially important with gases such as Hydrogen and Helium

SAFETY WARNING

With the internet making it easy to import things from China and other countries there is a lot of cheap gas equipment being imported into Australia lately, and a proportion of that gas equipment has had little or no testing, showing no standards.

Worse still, some equipment has the relevant Australian Standard on it, but has never undergone any testing.

I have seen the direct result of what can happen with this cheap, untested, equipment.

The brand new regulator was purchased from a reputable business.

The operator fitted the new regulator to a full 20,000 kPa (200 Bar) argon cylinder.

When the cylinder valve was opened the valve seat of the regulator failed, allowing full cylinder pressure (20,000 kPa) to enter the low pressure side of the regulator.

With no safety relief valve fitted to expel the high pressure gas, the cast bonnet of the regulator failed,
blowing metal parts of the regulator into the face of the operator.

A normal looking Argon regulator with a totally inert gas, yet this incident could of been fatal.

Untested equipment has the potential to be lethal, a regulator must be able to withstand the high pressures as found in modern gas cylinders, make no mistake a regulator is a pressure vessel.

Flashback arrestors must have a non-return valve and a flame arrestor for Torch End and a non-return valve,
flame arrestor and a thermal cut off valve for Regulator End, they must also meet all of the relevant International and Australian Standards.

Let us take the guess work away, we only supply and sell quality gas equipment that we know meets all of the relevant Australian and
International standards, undergoing all of the appropriate testing.
